SAFF said that although the survey showed 80% of respondents were in favour of a moratorium, only 25% of SAFF’s members responded to the survey and it was therefore not indicative of the views of all South Australian Farmers.

The findings of the survey will still be presented to the select committee on GMOs to be chaired by the Member for Mount Gambier, who has proposed a bill for a moratorium, reported ABC News.
