Doug McKay, COO of Australian food giant Goodman Fielder, has left “to pursue other career opportunities”, according to a company announcement made today [Tuesday].
His resignation means that he will not be standing for re-election as an executive director at the company’s AGM on 16 November.
Company chairman Jon Peterson commented: “The board is disappointed but understand Mr McKay’s decision to leave the company following the completion of the strategic review and subsequent moves to streamline the organisational structure of the company.
“Mr McKay has made a significant contribution to the company since he joined in 1998 and was a major participant in the strategic review and subsequent moves to streamline the organisational structure of the company.”
