Kailis & France Foods, Australia’s leading contract manufacturer of frozen meals and meal components, and Australian Convenience Foods Group (ACFG), supplier of pre-packaged foods to the Convenience Foods market, are to merge, The Western Australian reported today (20 January). Kailis acquired the holdings of 18 of ACFG’s shareholders, including the ANZ Banking Group.

With in excess of 700 employees and annual sales of AUS$150m (US$112.44m), the new group will target the frozen pre-prepared meals and takeaway sector.  Customers will include service stations, hospitals, universities and airlines.
