Australian Dairy Nutritionals (AHF) has announced that Michael Hackett is to retire as chairman of the group and will be replaced by Martin Bryant.

Hackett will remain on the board as a non-executive director of AHF, which is listed on the Australian Securities Exchange. He will retain a “significant associate interest in the listed securities of the group”.

AHF, which owns the Camperdown dairy brand, said Hackett is a director and/or significant associate shareholder in two other listed companies and has made the decision to both reduce his current workload and to facilitate the smooth transition of the chairman’s role in the group to Bryant.

Hackett became a director and chairman of AHF in May 2009 after acquiring a significant interest in the company under its former name, APA Financial Services. AHF said he was instrumental in the group’s restructure and its move into the Australian dairy industry as Australian Dairy Farms Group in October 2014.

The company changed its name to Australian Dairy Nutritionals at the start of this year to reflect the move into a new area after acquiring local organic infant-formula maker Flahey’s Nutritionals.

In a statement to the stock exchange, AHF said: “The board wishes to thank Michael for the significant effort which he has put in during that time.
