French frozen food retailer Picard has opened its first store in Belgium.
The 250 square metre convenience store, located in Waterloo in central Belgium, offers around 860 SKUs. The company already offers a delivery service in Brussels, the Belgian capital.

Picard, which operates around 900 stores across France and Italy says it will continue its expansion in Belgium in the coming months, but did not say how many stores it plans to open.
Picard was bought by private-equity firm Lion Capital in 2010. As well as stores in France, Belgium and Italy, it also offers a delivery service in Barcelona and Luxembourg.
