Talks between French retail giant Carrefour and Belgian trade unions over the planned closure of 16 supermarkets in the country have failed to yield an agreement.
Workers from Carrefour’s GB stores met with company executives to discuss the group’s plans.
However, the two sides have yet to agree on the possible effects of the store closures, including potential job losses.
The two sides plan to resume negotiations in September, Carrefour Belgium said yesterday (2 July).
