Belgian food group Ter Beke has appointed Dirk Goeminne as group CEO.
Goeminne, who had been serving as acting CEO, takes over from Marc Hofman who stepped down from the role in January. He has accepted a contract to manage the operations of the group for the next five years, the company said today (30 May).
Goeminne has been a member of the board of directors since May 2011 and has held a number of senior positions across a number of industries.
Between 1997 and 2003, he was CEO and chairman of Dutch retail chain Hema. Until 2007, he was chairman of Netherlands retail chain Vroom&Dreesman, and restaurant chain La Place.
