Irish trade mission Bord Bia is reportedly looking at establishing an office in Vietnam to boost dairy exports, following the lifting of EU milk quotas.

According to local press, agriculture minister Simon Coveney is understood to have secured funding for the agency to base key personnel there as the government looks to strengthen its presence in emerging markets.

The office is likely to be located in Ho Chi Minh city.

No one at Bord Bia was available to comment at time of press.
