Brazilian retailer CBD has appointed Christophe Hidalgo, an executive at Casino stablemate Grupo Exito, as chief financial officer.

Hidalgo joins CBD from Colombian supermarket company Grupo Exito, where he held various positions since joining the group in 2000, including most recently CFO. Both companies are subsidiaries of French retailer Casino.

Until Hidalgo assumes his duties as CBD finance chief, director of investor relations, Almedia Fags will continue to be responsible for finance functions, the company said in a statement.
