Selections brand Assorted Phyllo hors d’oeuvres as these allergens are not declared on the label. This alert is of concern to those individuals allergic to egg, soy, lobster, crab, shrimp, pollock, Pacific whiting or salmon proteins.


The affected product is sold in a 1.14 kg box containing 72 pieces, UPC 7 70240 02005 1, Item # 34998 with the code 03 JA 13 embossed on the side panel. This product has been sold in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. The manufacturer, Transcontinental Gourmet Foods, Concord, Ontario is voluntarily recalling the product from the market. The consumption of this product may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction in persons with allergies to egg, soy, lobster, crab, shrimp, pollock, pacific whiting or salmon proteins. There has been one reported illness associated with the consumption of this product. 


The CFIA is monitoring the effectiveness of the recall.
