The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is warning consumers with allergies to hazelnut not to consume various Potsie’s Organic food products, as they may contain hazelnut which is not declared on the label.


The following affected products have been sold by Potsie’s Organic:
Good Morning Survival Cookie – sold as a pack of 3 or 6 cookies
Survival Cookies with Organic Chocolate – sold as a pack of 3 or 6 cookies
Chocolate Cherries –  sold in ½ or 1 cup glass jar


These products have been sold through craft fairs and farmers markets at the following locations:


– Capers Farmers Market, Vancouver, British Columbia
– Living Naturally Fair, Vancouver, British Columbia
– Mission Farmers Market, Mission, British Columbia
– 8th Annual Women’s Winter Arts & Crafts Faire, Vancouver, British Columbia


Consumption of these products may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction in persons with allergies to hazelnut. There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of these products.
