The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is warning consumers with allergies to sulphites not to consume Golden Raisins labelled as “FRUITS SECHES raisin doré” and distributed by Cooperative D’Alentour, as the product may contain sulphites which are not declared on the label.
Cooperative D’Alentour is voluntarily recalling the affected product, which is sold in 1kg and 5kg package sizes, from the marketplace. This product was sold in Quebec.
Consumption of this product may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction in persons with allergies to sulphites, but no related illnesses have yet been reported.
