Canadian convenience store operator Alimentation Couche-Tard has reported earnings of C$21m (US$13m) for the twelve weeks to 13 October, compared to $16.1m for the same period last year.

Second-quarter sales were up to $806.4m from $633.4m a year earlier, with the increase being attributed in part to the company’s US expansion.

Same-store sales rose 10.1% for merchandise and 5.6% for fuel.
