ProCure.com Inc. (ProCure), a global, web-based supply chain management service that cost-effectively enables suppliers to seamlessly process, track and manage all of their orders through a single hosted solution and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Cyberplex Interactive Media (Toronto: CX), today announced a strategic relationship with leading Canadian food distributor, Jacobs Suchard Canada (a division of Kraft Canada Inc).
As part of Jacobs Suchard Canada’s ongoing strategy to deliver exceptional service to its customers as well as ensure more efficient control of its supply chain, the Company selected ProCure to develop a distinct, comprehensive order management solution for its confectionery business. As a result of this initiative, ProCure will manage the order and fulfillment processes for a number of Jacobs Suchard Canada’s confectionery brands including TOBLERONE, ALTOIDS, CALLARD & BOWSER, TERRY’S, MILKA, SUCHARD, COTE D’OR and BALANCE. Customers will be able to order these products online through a single, comprehensive order management solution — ProCure’s NetàOrder solution.
The rollout of NetàOrder will dramatically shorten the lifecycle of the order procurement and fulfillment process for these brands. Costly and error-prone manual methods currently employed by certain customers will be eliminated and Jacobs Suchard Canada’s presence into previously untapped markets will be significantly expanded.
“We were extremely pleased with ProCure’s ability to develop an online order management solution that could be up and running within a relatively short time frame and at the same time, experience almost no disruption to our daily business activities,” said Marilyn Miller, Director, Jacobs Suchard Canada. “Based on the strength of the ProCure package, their supply chain management experience and their understanding of sell-side integration issues, we believed ProCure provided the best solution for our online order management needs. As a result of this new implementation, Jacobs Suchard Canada is now going to be able to sell direct to our mid to small confectionary customer.”
From design to implementation, ProCure was able to build and launch NetàOrder on the Jacobs Suchard Canada web-site in less than 60 days. The seamless integration of the ProCure solution to Jacobs Suchard Canada’s back-end fulfillment structure provided by TCT Logistics allows for true end-to-end order integration through the company’s entire supply chain.
“Jacobs Suchard Canada was a fantastic client to work with because they had such a detailed understanding of their business,” said Neil Barran, president of ProCure. “They instinctively understood how today’s eBusiness tools could be applied to their business and through the implementation of the ProCure solution, a completely reconfigured automated supply chain was launched for their business. The success of this launch is a direct result of the tireless efforts put forth by the Jacobs Suchard Canada team and the solution architects at ProCure.”
