Wong Wing, which makes frozen Chinese entrees, egg rolls and dim sum, was founded in 1948 by the Wong family and has continued to be managed by family members. Currently employing 300 people, Wing Wong is being sold to McCain foods, one of Canada’s biggest food processors, which has processing plants around the world and employs more than 18,000 people. The deal will include the acquisition of the plant, production and non-production equipment and the Wong Wing brand name, reported the Canadian Press.

McCain hopes that the acquisition of Wong Wing will add to its expanding appetiser business in Canada and the US.
