Canadian retailer Metro Inc is to buy Quebec supermarket chain Les Supermarchés GP.
The company, known as GP, has 15 stores in Quebec City and Eastern Quebec and generates C$300m (US$428.9m) in annual sales.
“Metro is proud to continue the tradition of excellence that GP has upheld for the past 50 years,” said president and CEO Eric La Flèche.
The transaction is expected to be completed later this month.
