CANADA: New legislation to revamp food safety in BC
The provincial government in British Columbia has introduced new legislation designed to revamp the area's food safety system. Health services minister Colin Hansen told the Vancouver Province newspaper that the new system will be based on "outcome-based regulations" to enable the food industry to take more "innovative approaches" and meet the established standards.
