Canadian natural products retailer Planet Organic Health Corp said that income before tax increased to CAD$647,910 (US$569,545.5) for the first quarter of 2006, versus $169,073 for the same period last year.
Sales increased $2.6m to $11.1m for the quarter, representing a 32% increase compared to last year. Increases were driven by acquisitions, store expansions, and same-store sales growth, the company said.
“By focusing on market share and revenue growth, we have delivered again to our shareholders,” said Darren Krissie, co-founder/CFO of the company.
