High moisture in chickpea-growing areas has contributed to the spread of Ascochyta blight, and spores on residue from last year are infecting this year’s crop.


The disease spreads rapidly, and producers believe fungicides such as Quadris will prevent yield and quality losses that could amount to C$75m.
