Premium Brands Inc. (Toronto: FFF) announced yesterday that it has appointed Mr. George Paleologou as President and Mr. Fred Knoedler as Chairman and CEO. Mr. Paleologou was the Chief Financial Officer for the Company for the period 1989 to October 2000. Since October 2000, Mr. Paleologou has been the CEO of Goodlife Brands Inc., an affiliated company recently amalgamated with Premium Brands.

“Mr. Paleologou brings a wealth of food industry knowledge and experience to our company, and will play a key role in shaping its future and achieving its growth and profitability targets,” said Mr. Knoedler, Chairman and CEO.

The Corporation also announced the appointment of Mr. Paleologou as a Director, who joins three new Directors, namely: Mr. David Stitt, Partner of Banyan Capital Partners Management Partnership; Larry Hodges, President and Chief Executive Officer of Mrs. Fields Famous Brands; and Michael Freund, Partner and Director of Connor Clark & Lunn Financial Group and President and Chief Executive Officer of Banyan Investment Management Ltd.

“These new directors bring tremendous depth to our Board and we look forward to working closely with them in positioning our company as a leading specialty food and distribution company,” said Mr. Knoedler.
