Natural products retailer Planet Organic Health Corp has reported consolidated sales for the first quarter to the end of September of C$11.1m (US$9.75m), up 32% from the comparable period last year.

The Planet Organic Market division saw same-store sales grow from $5.7m to $7.6m for the 13-week quarter, while Sangster’s Health Centres recorded a 13% increase in total system sales to $3.9m, on the back of the acquisition of the Newfound Health chain. Same-store sales growth at Sangster’s increased by 1.2% to $2.6m.


Healthy’s, the group’s seven corporate health centres, posted sales of $856,000, up 4% from the corresponding quarter last year.
