Canadian retailer Empire Co. has posted broadly flat sales and earnings over the last 12 months, the company announced today (28 June).
Empire posted a 2% rise in revenue to C$13.4bn (US$12.6bn) for the year to 5 May. Underlying net earnings inched up 1.2% to C$204.4m.
Sales growth from Empire’s food stores rose 2.4% over the year, the company said.
Earlier this month, Empire received the green light to buy local retailer Sobeys.
