Various batches of ground beef sold at Canadian Safeway outlets may be contaminated with e.coli, Canada’s food safety regulator has warned.


The meat was sold in packages of approximately 450 grams with the first part of the UPC being 201670 and a Canada establishment number of 573, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency said.


The affected batches carry a best before of 19 March and were on sale from 13 March to 19 March.


No illnesses have been reported.
