Food ingredients group AAK today (8 October) opened an R&D centre in Shanghai for confectionery, bakery and dairy products.
The Sweden-based company said the site was a “breakthrough” for the Chinese food industry and would allow local customers to work more closely with the business.

“The innovation centre will be the leading center for speciality oils and fats for food and nutritional products,” Rick Luo, general manager for AAK’s Chinese operations, said. “In this very dynamic market, we believe access to innovation is what makes the difference for the customers when they are choosing their partner for speciality oils and fats.”
