A delegation from AgroCan is currently negotiating to supply organic fertilizer and pesticide to China’s largest vegetable farming base, Shouguang City in Northern China.

Company representatives, invited by the Chinese Government, recently visited Shouguang City and exchanged letters of intent to supply organic fertilizer and pesticide to the city.

The Assistant Mayor of Shouguang City, Tian Yuanjun, explained that the city is China’s largest vegetable farming base, with 5,600 miles² of farmland. Greenhouses are built to increase yields as well as to save energy costs. Apart from supplying the domestic market in China, the city’s output of vegetables are also exported to Japan, Korea, Taiwan and other Asian countries.

The President of AgroCan, Lawrence Hon, was informed by the city government official that total fertilizer and pesticide market of Shouguang City would be around three million tons.

“If we could develop this market successfully it would contribute to the profitability of the company in the long term,” said Hon.
