China-based American Oriental Bioengineering has announced it will open a vast soybean high-tech production centre in the Hei Long Jiang Province of China, where one third of the country’s soybeans are already produced.

Over one million acres of land will be devoted to soybean cultivation on the five million square foot facility, which will focus on advanced soybean research and improvement. The company expects the centre will be able to produce an additional two million tons of soybeans and soybean protein peptide related products each year.
Shujun Liu, CEO of American Oriental Bioengineering said: “Our plan is to get the new facility online as fast as possible to significantly expand our production capacity to meet the growing demand worldwide.”
