The CEO of China Nutrifruit has stepped down from his role for “personal and health reasons”.

The firm said today (6 July) that the board accepted Jinglin Shi’s resignation at the company’s board meeting on 3 July and has appointed chairman Changjun Yu as CEO.

“Shi’s resignation was not due to any disagreement with the company on any matter relating to the company’s operations, policies or practices,” China Nutrifruit said.

Yu has over 14 years of experience in the food industry and is the founder of China Nutrifruit’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Daqing Longheda Food Co.

He has served as chairman of the board of directors since August 2008.
