After it was discovered that the high incidence of cardio- and cerebral vascular complaints in China could be attributed to an inadequate level of poly-unsaturated fats in the average diet, foreign companies swamped the market with PUFAS-enhanced foods.
Still desperate for increased PUFAS in diets, the call has come from Chinese experts this week that domestic enterprises develop a micro-organic fat rich in poly-unsaturated fatty acids (PUFAS), which can be used as a nutritional supplement.
