The Agriculture Ministry in China has announced its decision to extend its interim GMO import rules.

The interim rules were put in place after China’s original GMO rules disrupted the US$1bn a year Sino-US soybean trade.
Due to expire on 20 December this year, the interim rules will now continue to 20 September 2003, reported Reuters.
