Conagra Foods has added another line of meal kits to its portfolio of products on sale in the US with a set of three under its Frontera brand on sale through online grocer Peapod.

The company said the three products – Grouper with Tomatillo-Avocado Sauce, Ancient Grain Chorizo Cazuela and Sweet and Savory Pork Tacos – are available in Chicago “and will be expanding to other markets this summer”. Conagra said the Peapod service, owned by Benelux giant Ahold Delhaize, does business in 24 metro markets in the US.

The line of Frontera kits is the second time Conagra has teamed up with Peapod to launch meal kits. Last year, Conagra launched a meal kit under its canned tomatoes band Ro-tel.

The consumer’s shift in sourcing their food is driving strong growth within the online services of meal kits and e-ommerce. Conagra Brands will continue to monitor and evaluate the industry for future opportunities,” Cheryl Bersin, manager for digital promotions at Conagra, told just-food.
