Conagra Brands is to invest again at a frozen foods plant in Russellville in Arkansas to up its capacity.

The US-based group plans to invest over a four-year period, a spokesperson said.

“Our facility in Russellville is a critical part of our network for frozen meals and this investment will expand the facility’s capabilities and capacity. While we are working through the specifics of the projects, we currently estimate the total investment to be approximately US$50m over four years,” he told just-food.

Conagra made no comment on the amount of jobs that could be created at the plant but US Representative Steve Womack tweeted the project would create 60 jobs.
