A class of phytochemicals derived from sugar cane wax and other plant sources have also been shown by a series of animal and human clinical trials to have other anti-inflammatory, antiviral and neuroprotective properties.


The phytochemicals consist of long-chain aliphatic alcohols and their metabolites.


Journal Editor Sheldon S. Hendler PhD MD, told BW HealthWire: “The safety profile of these substances appears excellent. [They have] some rather remarkable therapeutic as well as preventive potential.”
