The Cypriot government is to launch a week of organic farming as part of its policy to support the development of organic farming in the country.
The government introduced a legal framework regarding organic farming in 2001, in line with EU legislation, reported the Cypriot News Digest.
The week of organic farming will include programmes to inform the public and farmers about organic farming practices and related issues. There will also be presentations providing information about launching organic farming projects.
