Czech dairy group Madeta is to close two of its eight processing plants in the country.
The company, which is the Czech Republic’s largest dairy processor, plans to close sites in Ceske Budejovice and Strakonice.
When contacted by just-food today (3 January), a spokesperson for the company declined to comment on the reasons behind the move.
However, local reports said the closures were due to the end of a supply deal with Czech dairy co-operative Mlekarske a hospodarske druzstvo Jih.
