UK sausage producer Debbie & Andrew’s has launched a free-range sausage selection, Perfectly Free Range, which uses meat sourced from farms where the animals are free to roam.

The selection includes a Cumberland, a Lincolnshire, a pork and a pork chipolata. The sausages are made in small batches from high-quality RSPCA Assured pork from free range pigs that have spent their entire life outdoors.

All the products are wheat, gluten and dairy free, tapping into the growing number of consumers who are cutting these items out of their diets.

“This is the natural next step for us,” said Debbie & Andrew’s managing director Ian Bagnall. “Whilst we have always supported British farmers, this allows us to recognise those who go the extra mile for their animals.”

The range has already been listed by the fledgling AmazonFresh and are on sale with the web retail giant at a recommended retail price of between GBP2.96 (US$3.95) and GBP3.49 pounds.

Bagnall expects them to be listed by the multiple supermarkets alongside their other product ranges within the next few months.
