Recently formed Danish vegetable oils and fats company AarhusKarlshamn has said it has decided on the organisational structure of the new company.
The company said the process of integration between the two former competitors Aarhus United and Karlshamns has been accelerating since the merger was completed and the new company established at the end of September.
“We now have the opportunity to combine deep knowledge of vegetable oils with extensive knowledge of the markets in Europe, Nafta, South America and Asia,” said Jerker Hartwall, managing director of AarhusKarlshamn. “We can meet the demands of the customers with production in seven countries. I see a very strong company emerge.”
The company’s organisation is to be based on six business areas: food ingredients Continental Europe, food ingredients UK, food ingredients Nafta, specialty fats for the chocolate and confectionery industry, technical products, and oils for pharmaceuticals and cosmetics.
The main office will be established in Copenhagen.
