Striking workers at an Arla Foods milk powder factory in Denmark have returned to work after agreeing to a change in shift patterns.

Around 150 employees at Arla’s site in the Danish town of Videbaek went on strike on Monday (18 June) to protest at the changes.

However, a spokesman for Arla told just-food today that the employees had since ended the stoppage and returned to work.

“They had accepted the new ways of working but thought the changes had been imposed too suddenly and they reacted to that,” the spokesperson said. She added that Arla expects no further disruption at the site, one of the company’s three milk powder facilities in Denmark.
