Danish food ingredients firm Danisco has announced a rise in sales in the third quarter ended 31 January to 4.375bn kroner (US$786m) from 3.767bn Danish kroner in the same period a year ago.


Profit before tax was 338m kroner compared with 245m in the year earlier period.


All ingredients and sweetener businesses except flavours performed to expectation in Q3, the company said.


Net sales for the year to date were 12.98bn kroner, compared with 12.02bn a year ago, while profit before tax for the nine months was 1.34bn kroner, compared with 1.1bn a year ago.
