DENMARK: Kraft Foods to close Estrella factory in Denmark
US-based food giant Kraft Foods is to close its Estrella crisps and snacks production plant in Aalborg, northern Denmark, by the end of 2004. Production will be transferred to the Estrella plant in Angered, western Sweden. The Swedish plant is around four times larger than the one in Denmark.

The aim of the closure, which will result in the loss of 60 jobs, is to increase Estrella’s production efficiency in order to improve its competitiveness, reported the Danish News Digest.
