Netto, the discount retailer, has appointed a new executive to run its stores in Sweden.
Jan Ricter has been named as Netto’s country manager in Sweden, where the retailer runs 87 stores.
Ricter, who has been at Netto for three years, most recently as buying director, replaces Carsten Hansen, who will take up the role of national sales director at Netto’s Danish supermarket chain Fötex.
Netto, which entered the Swedish market in 2002, is looking to take its store-count in the country to “close to 100”, managing director Claus Juul Jensen told just-food.
Jensen praised Hansen for doing an “extremely good job” in running Netto’s Swedish stores but said he had expressed a desire to return to Denmark.
