US vegetable oil manufacturer Aarhus Inc. said it expects to change its name soon to Aarhus United USA at an extraordinary general meeting of its Danish parent company Aarhus Oliefabrik.
Aarhus Oliefabrik, which manufacturers vegetable oils for the food industry, has elected to gather fourteen of its companies in a formalised group structure with effect from 1 January 2004, under the name Aarhus United.
The Danish company, which employs almost 2,000 workers around the world, said the change was being made in order to simplify matters for those customers who deal with several of the companies in the group in different countries.
“Our customers are getting more and more global, which is why this is a natural step, which several of our customers have been requesting for several years,” said group manager Erik Hojsholt Denmark.
