An Italian onion and a Belgian grape are among the products added to the EU protected geographical indication lists in order to prevent copies being sold in the EU.


Brussels will now protect Cipollotto Nocerino, an Italian onion grown near Naples and both the white and black varieties of the Vlaams-Brabantse tafeldruif, a Flemish table grape from Belgium.


Slovenská parenica, a steamed, lightly smoked Slovak sheep milk cheese, and Chamomilla Bohemica, a Czech camomile, were also added to the list.
