The European Food Safety Authority today (2 June) appointed 191 scientists to its Scientific Committee and Panels for a new three-year term.

Those appointed were chosen from 874 applications by a rigorous application process conducted by the EFSA and independent experts.

Stuart Slorach, Chairman of the Board, expressed his satisfaction with the appointments. “I am very pleased that EFSA has been able to attract such highly qualified scientific experts for its Scientific Committee and Panels, which form the backbone of its work in providing scientific opinions and advice on matters related to food and feed safety,” he said.
