US-based agribusiness giant Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) has made a number of technical and commercial appointments in Europe.
Rinus Heemskerk has been named technical director of ADM Cocoa International, based at the firm’s processing centre in the Netherlands. He joins from a “European speciality and commodity raw materials distributor”, ADM said, where he served as vice president for corporate development and technical director within the food division.
Marek Jagusiak, meanwhile, joins ADM as senior chocolate and cocoa technologist based in the company’s office in Szamotuly, Poland. He most recently served as head of production and technology with a Polish confectionery company.
The firm has also appointed Norbert Wachter, previously manager of ADM’s oils and fats R&D team, as the research and development manager for ADM Cocoa, Germany.
Joining the sales team are Dimitri Derriks, Klaus Pfaller and Malgorzata Michalska – sales managers for Benelux, Germany and Eastern Europe respectively. Derriks joins with over 20 years experience of the industrial chocolate market in the Benelux region, Pfaller from a leading chocolate supplier where he was sales manager for Germany and Austria, and Michalska with five years experience in the chocolate industry.
