US chewing gum maker Wrigley and Norwegian consumer goods firm Orkla are reported to be among the bidders for the confectionery business of Dutch food company CSM.

Wrigley and Orkla are competing with several buyout and investment firms for the assets, Dow Jones International News reported, citing people familiar with the situation.

Second-round bids were due this week, with the winning bidder expected to be picked later this month. CSM is selling the confectionery business to focus on its bakery products and food ingredients divisions.
