Finnish retailer Kesko has put its delivery and wholesale business Kespro up for sale in order to increase its focus on consumer-customer activities.
“Our strategy at Kesko Foods is to grow our business by concentrating on lowering prices and developing programmes for the customer. The sale of Kespro will allow us to concentrate on this,” a representative of the retailer told just-food today (24 April).
The company declined to indicate its valuation of the business, which generated sales of EUR688m (US$934m) last year.
The Kesko spokesperson added that the company has not started sale negotiations, but believes there will be strong interest.
