Flagship Europe said that it is expanding in the foodservice sector with the acquisition of Calder Foods, a manufacturer of “food-to-go” products.
Calder’s product line-up includes sandwich fillings, salads, sauces, marinades, dips and mayonnaise. These are sold under Calder’s brands Love Fresh and Love Sauces as well as private label.

Commenting on the acquisition, Flagship Europe CEO Russell Maddock said: “Calder Foods has an exceptional reputation within the foodservice sector and their products will provide the perfect complement to our own portfolio of food-to-go products for this marketplace. We look forward to a smooth transition and to further developing both the business and the Love Fresh brand under the Flagship Europe umbrella.”
Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
Calder founders Paul Barker and Nigel Harrison will remain with the business in their current positions as joint managing directors.
