The number of roles in North America made up 54.8% of total big data jobs – up from 35.7% in the same quarter last year.

The figures are compiled by GlobalData, which tracks the number of new job postings from key companies in various sectors over time. Using textual analysis, these job advertisements are then classified thematically.

Which countries are seeing the most growth for big data job ads in the food industry?

The fastest growing country was the US, which saw 33% of all big data job adverts in the three months ending June 2021, increasing to 52% in the three months ending June this year.

That was followed by India (up 3.3 percentage points), Switzerland (1.4), and Spain (0.6).

Which cities and locations are the biggest hubs for big data workers in the food industry?

Some 5.7% of all food industry big data roles were advertised in Buffalo in the US in the three months ending June.

That was followed by Chicago with 2.6%, Hyderabad in India with 2.1%, and St. Louis in the US with 2.1%.
