Auchan has announced the launch of a food-focused convenience store concept, called ‘A 2 pas’, (2 steps away), with outlets located in urban areas.

The French retailer will begin trialling the A 2 pas concept next month in the Ménilmontant district of Paris, with a 550 sqm store, located at the foot of an existing building, offering around 5,500 SKUs.

“A 2 pas is being set-up to provide a warm and welcoming daily point of contact for customers, adapted to the new imperatives of time-saving and simplicity, with a quality, competitively-priced offer focused on fresh produce and Auchan label goods, ” the retailer said.
