French biscuit maker Biscuits Gardeil has seen annual profits fall on the back of a slump in sales.
The business, which makes products under the Mousse d’Or name, booked net profit of EUR42,955 (US$60,197) for 2008 – down from EUR65,300 in 2007.
Net sales stood at EUR4.7m compared to EUR3.7m a year ago.
Biscuits Gardeil said it had “difficulty making its mark” with its Mousse d’Or brand despite its sales and marketing work.
